Professional training and personal development of the coach
The coach has received a theoretical and practical professional training that guarantees the necessary competences to practice the profession of coach.
He is able to explain to his client the theoretical foundations and tools on which he will rely during the process.
He uses all his skills and experience according to the needs of the beneficiary and the problems of the organization.
The coach commits to regularly updating his knowledge and skills.
Finally, in order to guarantee a quality practice, the coach benefits from regular supervision.
The coach is bound by professional secrecy
The coach undertakes not to communicate any information relating to the coachees without their express agreement.
The coach can only report on his action or provide the prescriber with the information necessary to assess the achievement of the coaching objectives with the express agreement of the beneficiary and within the limits established with the latter; in particular, any individualized assessment is prepared with the beneficiary and carried out in his presence.
Within the framework of a relationship of trust based on mutual respect, the coach takes care not to encourage the establishment of a relationship of dependence between the coachee and himself
Independence of the coach
The coach has the right to refuse a coaching contract, to stop a process for personal and ethical reasons, or when the questions addressed by the coachee are outside the coach’s field of intervention.
The coach commits himself to transmit to the coachee, if necessary, the coordinates of any other competent professional.
The coach has no direct or indirect hierarchical link with the beneficiary, and does not exercise any function related to the operational management and promotion decisions of the persons
Coaching contract
The coach commits to contractualize any coaching process by means of a written contract (bi or multi-party) signed by the coachee, the third-party prescriber (in the case of professional coaching prescribed by the employer) and the coach.
A copy is given to each of the signatory parties.
The contract specifies the place, the duration, the holding of the sessions, the tariff as well as the terms of remuneration.
Each contract is individualized and can mention, with the client’s agreement, the objectives to be reached, knowing that these can be revised by mutual agreement according to the progress of the intervention and the development of the coachee.
The coaching contract is accompanied by an obligation of means and in no case an obligation of result, which means that the coach undertakes to do everything possible, within the framework of taking into account the client’s request, to promote the personal development of the coachee.
Consequently, the coach remains within the framework of his mission: to support the client in the implementation of his resolutions.
The coach undertakes to mobilize all of his skills and all the means that he deems appropriate to the accomplishment of his mission.
The coachee remains solely responsible for his decisions.
